Can be performed by a Catholic priest/bishop or by a priest/bishop of an Eastern Orthodox church. The Eucharist is also known as the Lord's Supper or the Holy Communion. It is a sacred Christan rite.
The New Testament states that Jesus Christ performed the Eucharist during the Last Supper. During this ritual, Jesus gave his disciples bread, which represented his body. He also gave them wine, which represented his blood. When the Eucharist occurs, Christians are reminded of the sacrifices that Jesus Christ gave, including dying on the cross, so that each of his children can live.

Both the Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches recognize the validity of the priesthood and celebrate the 7 sacraments. Priests can celebrate Mass alone and deacons can only assist at the Mass.
