Social science would always need to think about alternative futures because there is always a possibility that things will change drastically. When that happens, they need to be prepared about the changes that may occur. They have to be prepared for these changes. By improving the knowledge of people in social science, it will also be easier for people to improve the societies where they are currently living.

One of the most popular branches of social science right now is sociology. It studies how human society forms and develops. Some people who study sociology make it a point to study religions that are different from their own. They try to find some similarities and differences between different things.
