Rainsford, a wealthy hunter, falls off his yacht and comes across general Zaroff: another hunter that hunts sailors that come to his island. Rainsford demands to be taken back to shore but the general will only complete his request if he survives three days on the island trying to be hunted. Rainsford is able to evade Zaroff for the three days and kills the general in a duel.
Rainsford had been on a trip to go hunting when he fell off the boat and had to swim to shore. On this island he meets the General who likes to hunt people. The General decides he is going to hunt Rainsford. Rainsford sets up several traps and is able to get away. The General thinks that Rainsford did not play fair, but then Rainsford appears and in a sword fight kills the General.
