Beware the Thane of Fife, Birnam Wood to Dusinane, Macbeth shall not be vanquished by one born of woman. this makes Macbeth believe that no man nor woman can ever harm him, but what the witches didn't mention was that this did not include any who was born through C-section. another thing they forgot to mention was Macduff was one not born of woman. this being said, Macduff can harm or kill Macbeth, however, Macbeth does not have any knowledge of this information therefore, does not have any fears about Macduff that concern him. Another reason that Macbeth is not scared is due to the fact that, the phrase 'birnam wood to dunsinane'. Now this to a lot of readers may just sound like a load of nonsence however you should know that first of all Dunsinane is the castle of which Macbeth and Lady Macbeth live. so now that you know that you should understand me now when I say that this phrase mean that the trees from the woods are going to transport themselves to Macbeths castle. therefore, Macbeth thinks that this can never happen so he has no fears.... well that's where he thought wrong...! - 14, Bournemouth, year 10, gcse student.
