Confidence comes with maturity and having self-esteem. One way to become more confident is through responsibilities and being successful at something. For example, when a child makes a good grade on a math test, he or she will have more confidence that he or she can do math. The next time the teacher asks for a volunteer to work some math problems, then this child will more likely volunteer because he or she is more confident.
When a parent assigns their child to do chores or other responsibilities that they know they can do, the child will be more confident too. Now, this also applies to adults as well. When an adult overcomes something or is able to do something that they didn’t think they could do, they will be more confident.
