People have different times when they think summer starts. If you are a student, then summer probably begins the day after you get out of school because your year is divided into sections based on when you go to school and when you are out of school. However, there is a certain day that is considered to be the first day of summer. In 2018, the first day of summer is June 21st. This is when the summer solstice begins.
However, there are some people who believe that their first day of summer is when the first warm or hot day takes place. In southern areas of the United States, the days get warm sooner than June 21st, but this is still the first day of summer.
