Historians really can’t say when Jesus was born even though Christians celebrate his birth on December 25th. It is believed by historians that this date was chosen by the Christian church hundreds of years ago to celebrate his birth. There was very little evidence to support this date. However, the year is quite firm in the proof that Jesus was born in the year 1 A.D. The years that have B.C. next to them refer to the time period “before Christ.”
So, the next year after that would mean that is after Christ was born. However, some historians don’t believe this either. They believe that his actual birth year may have been four to six years prior to that due to events occurring then.
