Skin tags are common occurrences on people’s back and other parts of the body. They do not make a good appearance and may make people uncomfortable when their clothes move against the skin tag. Many people will try to cut off the skin tags, but doctors can remove skin tags.
They can use a scalpel to scrape off the skin tag. Sometimes, this area may bleed afterward. Using liquid nitrogen can also freeze the skin tag off. It may make a small blister on the skin afterward, but the blister will eventually heal and leave the skin. Finally, a doctor may burn them off using an electrical apparatus. Sometimes, these treatments require more than one treatment and the patient must come back before the entire skin tag is removed.
