On March 12, 2017, daylight savings time begins in most of the United States. It will end on November 5, 2017. At midnight of March 12th, people will turn their clocks ahead. This means that they lose an hour. Then on midnight of November 5th, people will turn their clocks back. This means that they will gain an hour. It will seem like the people are getting up earlier than usual. Most people prefer when daylight savings time ends.
Some places in the United States do not observe daylight savings time. For instance, Arizona does not observe daylight savings time. The only part that does is the Navajo Indian Reservation. This started for the farmers so that they could have more daylight for their crops.
