Breakdancing is a robust style of street dance. This type of dance mainly consists of four moves. These include top rock, down rock, power moves, and freezes. African American youth created breakdancing during the late sixties and early seventies. By the mid-seventies, breakdancing was gradually beginning to gain mainstream popularity.
By the 80's it was huge. My favorite music to watch people breakdance to is RUN DMC and The Sugar Hill Gang. These songs inspire so much energy and fun when breakdancing. There are many different styles used in breakdancing. Individual styles stem from a dancer's region of origin and influence.
