Midazolam is known as Versed. It is a medicine that is given for a few different reasons including as a sedative when people are undergoing surgery, for those who have trouble sleeping, a medicine to help with seizures as well as for those who are agitated. Sometimes, people have bad reactions to drugs and there should be a reserve effect that can be done in the form of medication.
For instance, if a person receives midazolam of two milligrams in his IV in order to sedate him before going into surgery for a bronchoscopy and then his breathing drops drastically, the nurse may need to give Flumazenil. This causes people to wake up and be more active. It is also known as Romazicon.
