UTI is an abbreviated word for Urinary Tract Infection. If you have a Urinary Tract Infection, then you may feel like you have to use the bathroom all of the time. This affects the bladder and kidneys.

People who suffer from Urinary Tract Infections often will go to the doctor to receive treatment or a prescription for medicine. Other symptoms with a Urinary Tract Infection include feeling pain during urination and going to the bathroom more often than usual.

If a patient has a spinal cord injury, he or she may start to show signs of Urinary Tract Infections. These signs include having a fever and a change in her urine clarity. In 2015, there were over one hundred fifty million people who suffered from UTI.

The correct answer to this question is Fever, and change in urine clarity. UTI stands for urinary tract infection, which is an infection mainly prominent in women. The infection is common to affect the urethra and bladder, but if it becomes severe enough, it can also affect the kidney.

There are about 3 million cases of UTI reported in the United States each year. While all of the symptoms listed can come along with UTI, Fever, and change in urine clarity are the first one with a spinal cord injury will experience. When the symptoms do occur, one can generally self-diagnose themselves, but a lab test can confirm if a person has the infection.
