How is powerball played?

Powerball is a lottery that spans all of the UNited States except for 8 states. Powerball took the place of the Lotto America lottery in the early 1990s. Powerball was the first lottery to use more than one drum to select winners. One of the drums is used only for white balls and the other drum is used only for red balls. Winners are chosen on Saturday and Wednesday nights just after 10PM at Universal Studios.

The winning balls are announced in all forms of media, television, newspapers, online, etc. To play, you must choose the nubers on both the white balls and one red red ball correctly in any order. The jackpot starts at $40 million and increases by a minimum of $10 million every time there is no winner.
