A nurse manager can delegate the task of terminating a nurse assistant for insubordinate behavior. The rest of the tasks make no sense to be delegated to nurses. If a nurse has a chip on her shoulder because her after-orientation raise wasn’t as much as promised and is given the task of deciding a raise for nurses after orientation, she could make the new nurses suffer that same shattered hope.
Same goes for a nurse asked to discipline a peer; if the nurse has been disciplined for the same reason, they could go easy on the nurse or make it harder for that nurse. As for scheduling, if a nurse doesn’t like the hospital, they could short staff them one day and put a surplus on for another day. It makes no sense for those tasks to be delegated to the nurses.
