When drawing an arrow flow chart for PERT/CPM, each event is a numbered circle. Each event can have multiple arrows coming from it with estimated times to complete that route.
For example, if you have an arrow between events 2 and 4 that would take 2 weeks, but the arrow between events 3 and 4 takes a week and a half, that means you have two ways you can get to event 4 that need to be done before event 4 is done. Each arrow represents one specific time frame between events. They don’t represent the events themselves.
