Russia is the world’s largest country. It is the largest with a land mass of 17,125,200 square kilometres. Russia covers over one – eighth of the earth’s inhabitable space. The largest city in Russia is Moscow and also one of the largest cities in the world.
Russia borders many European and Asian countries. In total, it has boundaries with 14 countries: Georgia, Azerbaijan, Republic of China, North Korea, Finland, Norway, Estonia, Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Poland and Mongolia. In terms of population, Russia has about 144.5 million people as at 2018 which makes Russia the ninth most populous nation in the world.
