Isaac Newton was a famous man who specialized in science and mathematics. Individually, he experimented with motion. He figured out and proved three laws. These were known as the first law, second law and third law. The first law stated that objects on earth will stand still unless there is a force enacted upon it.

The second law refers to a formula which is that power is equal to mass times acceleration. The third law refers to the idea that when a force is exerted onto something else, that other object will move in the opposite direction. When you want to quote a law from Newton about why you should buckle up, you should refer to the first law of motion.
