The Bible does not specifically mention the words “dating” and “courting”, but the Bible gives several principles that people should follow before marriage. For example, in 2 Corinthians 6:14-15, the Bible states that a person should not date or be with somebody who is an unbeliever. “Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers.
For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever?” Also, the Bible states that when a person is not yet married with another person, he or she should not have premarital sex because it is considered a six against God and against our own bodies, love one another, and abhor what is evil.
