Upon the finishing of Creation, God laid on the seventh day. Nonetheless, since God is almighty, He doesn't get worn out. He doesn't have to enjoy a reprieve and rest. Anyway, for what reason did does it say that He rested?
The goal is straightforward: Mark 2:27 says, "The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath." as it were, God set up the Sabbath as a rest for His kin, not on the grounds that He required a break, but rather in light of the fact that we are mortal and need a period of rest, an opportunity to concentrate on God. In this, our spirits and bodies are both restored.
