The Bible shows that Jesus isn't just somebody who is an excellent deal like God, or somebody who has a nearby stroll with God. Or maybe, Jesus is merely the highest God. Titus 2:13 says that as Christians we may be "searching for the favored expectation and the showing up of the radiance of our awesome God and Savior, Christ Jesus." Upon seeing the revived Christ, Thomas shouted out, "My Lord and my God!" (John 20:28).
In like manner, the book of Hebrews gives us God the Father's immediate declaration about Christ: "Yet of the Son he says, 'Your position of authority, O God, is for all eternity" and the good news of John calls Jesus "the main generated God" (John 1:18).
