One way to do this - if you’re not incredibly dizzy - is to fill your sink with cold water, add about fifteen ice cubes, and a third cup of an alcohol-free witch hazel. Let it sit for a couple of minutes, to let it all mix together, and then dunk your face in and out of the water. You shouldn’t be just splashing your face with the water; that defeats the purpose. Dunking your face in the water will make sure the cool gets everywhere. That’s the whole point of having the dunk; the coldness of the water constricts your blood vessels, which are full and making you puffy.
Another method is to keep your head elevated during the night. This is best done with two pillows, though depending on how flat your pillows are, you might need another pillow or two to get the best results.
