When men go to the gym, they are usually trying to either lose weight or gain muscle. Generally speaking, you can build muscles by lifting weights. The best routine would be for the person to lift weights every day except two days, but it should not be the same routine because different muscle groups should be used.
If you work out every day, then the muscles are going to get tired. So, the person should rest for a couple of days each week. The person should also eat healthy and make sure that he or she stays focused on their routine.
