There are different types of pasta including linguini, spaghetti, rigatoni, spirals and gnocchi, to name a few. For the most part, all pastas can be cooked in the same way. You would need to get a large pot and put several cups of water in it. A general rule is to fill the pot at least halfway full. Then place the pot of water on the stove.

Turn the eye of that burner on to medium-high. Wait until the water boils. Once the pot of water boils, then pour in the pasta. You will need to stir the pasta in the water so that it won’t stick. It will take the pasta about eight to ten minutes before the pasta gets soft and is fully cooked.
