There are several ways on opening a RAR file. If you are using Windows, you can open these files using either WinRar, WinZip, or 7-Zip. For this purpose, we’ll talk about opening a RAR file with WinZip. First, you have to download the WinZip application. Locate the folder where the .rar file is saved. Launch WinZip and then open the .rar file by clicking File and then Open. Select the file that you wish to open and then click 1-click Unzip and then choose Unzip to PC located under the Unzip/Share tab.
Choose the folder destination that you wish to save your unzipped file and then click the Unzip button. Once done, go to the folder destination and you will find the extracted files.
