For reseting your ipad or iphone you will have to go to settings, then general, reset, and then erase all content and settings. if you have a passcode then you will be asked to enter it at this time. You will then get a warning box that asks you if you want to erase your ipad and If you tap this then it will be done.
This will erase all the data on your ipad and take it back to factory settings. This can be helpful if you are selling your ipad or giving it away to someone or if you just want to make a fresh start.
