Diabetes mellitus is a condition that occurs when the pancreas does not produce insulin corretly. This will result in blood sugar levels that can reach heights that are way too high or lows that are way too low. There are two types of Diabetes. Type one is also often referred to as juvenile diabetes. This type is something that most people who have it are born with.

These diabetics are always insulin dependent and will have to take shots to regulate their blood sugar levels. Type two Diabetes is often the direct result of poor eating habits and lifestyle choices. Sometimes this type of diabetes can be reversed or controlled with diet and exercise. These type of diabetics sometimes take oral medication or insulin shots.
