Vanna White turned 60 last February. Born Vanna Marie Rosich on February 18, 1957 in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, she began her career as a contestant of Miss Georgia in 1978. She then appeared on television on June 20, 1980 in an episode of The Price Is Right. It was in 1982 when she became really known to the public when she was selected as one of the substitute hostesses of Wheel of Fortune.
A few months after, she finally became the regular hostess and remained on the show until 1991. Aside from Wheel of Fortune, she made cameo appearances on L.A. Law, Simon and Simon, Full House, the King of Queens, Double Dragon, and Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult.
