Before you can delete your Twitter account, you must deactivate your account first. To deactivate it, you would need to log in your account located at the top of the page and then select settings from the menu. Once you click setting, scroll down and click “Deactivate My Account”. Once you click it, a message will prompt telling you several things such as “We will only retain your used date for 30 days and then it will be permanently deleted.
You can reactivate deactivation by logging back in.” Click “Deactivate @[your username] and then your account will finally be deactivated. If you wish to permanently delete your account, just remember not to log in within 30 days so Twitter can permanently remove all your data.
