“My Antonia” was written by Willa Cather. It’s considered one of the best works by Cather, and is the final book in one of her series. The two books before it are “O Pioneers!” and “The Song of the Lark”. This book focuses on a young man that is taken across the plains at a young age. It’s praised for being able to bring the American west to life, and make it feel as if it is something that is personal to everyone that reads the book.
The book is also considered Cather’s first masterpiece, as the other two in the series aren’t the most well-acclaimed books ever. The book covers mainly the first year after the children are brought across the plains, and Antonia is a main character.
