Stephanie Meyer wrote the “Twilight” series. The first book in the series - “Twilight” - was the best-selling novel in the United States in 2008. Oddly enough, she had no inspirations to be a widely-recognized, widely successful author. Instead, she had thought about going to law school after graduating from Brigham Young University. Then, after her first child was born, she said that she simply wanted to be a mother. The idea of being an author had never occurred to her before she wrote “Twilight”.
“Twilight” is about Bella Swan and her adventure with Edward Cullen. Edward is a vampire that sparkles, and has super speed. The two meet in the high school that Bella attends after moving to Washington, and love ensues.
