The poem “Lochinvar” was published in 1808. It’s written by Sir Walter Scott of Scotland. The poem is about a knight named Lochinvar, and what he does to win over the father of a woman he loves. He’s described as “dauntless in war” and that there had never been a knight like him before. It’s part of a longer poem, an epic called “Marmion”.
