Coriander or cilantro seeds can be used in cooking different cuisines throughout the entire world. It is traditionally used in Chinese, South Asian, Thai, Mexican and Russian cuisines, but it is not limited to these countries. Nowadays, almost everybody is using cilantro to add a new flavor the dish. However, it is worthy to note that coriander and cilantro are two entirely different things – coriander is the dried seed of the cilantro and they are often roasted or heated together with the other ingredients.
Here are some of the recipes which call for the use of coriander: Coriander tabbouleh salad with shrimp, Moroccan tagine, chicken with coconut milk, Vietnamese beef noodle soup, grilled chicken thighs, chicken balls, and Indian dahl.
