Kale can be cooked whether it is sautéed, boiled or blended. The recipe for cooking kale will depend on how you are planning to prepare it. If you are going to sauté kale, you would need to have 4 teaspoons of olive oil and 12 ounces of kale. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil in low to medium heat. Once it is fully heated, add the kale, cover it and cook it for 1 minute. Remove the cover and stir it for another minute or until it is wilted.
You can add salt, pepper and lemon juice but these are optional. If you are going to boil it, you would need 2 cups of water, ¼ teaspoon of salt and 12 ounces of torn kale. In a large saucepan, bring the water into a boil and add the salt. Once boiling, add kale and let it simmer for 20 to 25 minutes or until the kale is tender. Once done, drain and serve.
