Yes, pregnant women can still eat Mexican food. However, it is worthy to mention that since pregnancy is a delicate situation, pregnant women should try to avoid any of the following foods or ingredients 1) Raw meat because pregnant women may be contaminated with salmonella, bacteria, coliform and toxoplasmosis, 2) Fish with mercury because mercury can cause development delays and brain damage, 3) Raw shellfish, 4) Raw eggs because it may be contaminated with salmonella, 5) Soft cheese because it may contain listeria.

This is where Mexican cheese such as queso fresco and queso blanco comes into the picture. Avoid these kinds of cheese at all cost, and 6) Unwashed vegetables because it may be exposed to toxoplasmosis. Using the given information, it is safe to say that pregnant women can eat some Mexican food.
