Meal is a common word to describe the group of food that people eat during a certain time of the day. However, there is another type of meal and that can be considered to be cornmeal. This type of meal is made from corn that has been ground to almost a powder and dried.

Cornmeal was the first type of meal. Over time, it has evolved into other types of meals that consist of different things but it is usually a non-meat and can be a type of vegetable. One type is called soya chunks or textured vegetable protein which is made of soybeans that are ground up or soybean oil or soy flour. Meal is usually used to cook in recipes.
