Herb Brooks was an ice hockey player and a celebrated coach. He was born in August 1937 and died on August 2003. He died in Forest Lake, Washington County, Minnesota, USA. He was buried at Roselawn Cemetery in Roseville Ramsey County, Minnesota, USA. In 1980, he was the head coach of the gold medal-winning US Olympic hockey team at Lake Placid.

At the games, the Brooks team unsettled the favorite Soviet team in a match that came to be known as "Miracle on ice." After this, Brooks coached several National Hockey League teams, as well as the French team at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. It has been stated that Brooks perished in a car accident because he had neglected to wear his seat belt. Before his death, he was the director of player personnel for the NHL's Pittsburg Penguins.

Herbert Paul Brooks Jr. commonly known as Herb Brooks was born on the 5th of August in 1937. He was born in Saint Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota, in the United States. He was an American ice hockey player and also a coach. Herb’s most notable achievement as a hockey coach came in 1980 when he won the gold medal in the U.S Olympic hockey team as the head coach.

Herb Brooks died on the 11th of August 2003 after a car accident that occurred in Forest Lake in Minnesota. He died at the age of 66. Herb Brooks was buried in Roselawn Cemetery, Roseville, Ramsey County in Minnesota. “Husband and father. Herbert Paul Brooks. 1937-2003” are the words on his flat stone.

Born Herbert Paul Brooks Jr. on August 05, 1937 in Saint Paul, Minnesota, he was best known as an American coach and ice hockey player. He also goes by the name Herb Brooks and his most notable achievement was when his hockey team won the gold medal in the 1980 Winter Olympics held from February 13 to 24, 1980 in Lake Placid, New York.

He died on August 11, 2003 at the age of 66 in a single-car accident near Forest Lake, Minnesota. It was believed that he fell asleep while he was driving and he was also not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. The words “Husband and father. Herbert Paul Brooks. 1937-2003” is found on his flat stone marker located in Roselawn Cemetery Roseville, Ramsey County, Minnesota.
