The Xhosa people are a Bantu ethnic group who live in the south of Africa. The Xhosa language is one of the 11 official languages of South Africa. The traditional foods of the Xhosa people are probably not a food that most people not living in that culture have ever tried. Some of these traditional foods include Umngqushon, this is a dish made from white maize and sugar beans and is a staple in the diets of Xhosa people.
Some other traditional food and drinks are Umqombothi (a type of beer), Umvubo (sour milk mixed with dry pap), and Umfino (a wild spinach/cabbage mixed with meal). The Xhosa people have been eating these foods for a very long time.
