The cost of living in Turkey is considerably lower than it is in the United States. It is actually almost 43 percent cheaper to live in Turkey than it is in the United States. So for someone from a Western culture you will most certainly find that purchasing food and drinks in Turkey is going to be quite affordable. A meal at an inexpensive restaurant will run about 4 to 5 dollars. A mid-range restaurant will serve a meal for two people for 18 to 20 dollars.
Meals at fast food places will only run you about 4 dollars on average. These prices are slightly less expensive than you will find in the United States. Drinks seem to be even less expensive with soft drinks only running about 50 cent and beer only running at 2 to 3 dollars a pint.
