On average, the cost of food and drink in Cyprus is about the same as in the United States. Granted, a few items do break this rule. For example, you’ll pay around $1.50 for a small soda in America. In Cyprus, this same soda is $1.90. It’s a little more expensive. A meal at a decent restaurant for two also runs a little more expensive: $40 in Cyprus compared to around $30 in the America.
However, Cyprus makes up for this with cheaper produce. They have apples for $0.49 a pound, while in America, it can be around $0.80 a pound. It all depends on what you plan to do; it’s often cheaper to make your own food here.
