There are plenty of ways you can prevent food poisoning without making big changes to your lifestyle. One such way is to simply refrigerate or freeze food within a couple hours of buying it. This slows germs from growing for a while. It isn’t safe to immediately eat these foods depending on the type of food, but for fruits and veggies, this extends their shelf life a little bit.
Another precaution one can take is to simply throw out any food you’re unsure about. If you think it’s been in the fridge too long, throw it out. This is one of the easiest way to prevent food poisoning. However, it only works if you toss it before anyone takes a taste of it.
