In the regular season, which for the most part keeps running from early October through early April, groups play 82 games which decide their standings. The three most high put groups in every division and two special case groups for each gathering enter the playoff end competition to determine the Stanley Cup champion.
Toward the finish of the regular season, 16 teams fit the bill for the Stanley Cup playoffs, a disposal competition comprising of three rounds of best-of-seven arrangement to figure out which side from every gathering will progress to the last round, named the Stanley Cup Final.
