The dog breed of the Labradors is not hypoallergenic. The word hypoallergenic means something that is unlikely to cause an allergic reaction. An allergic reaction arises when the person’s immune system has a negative response to allergens. When someone is allergic to dogs, they are not allergic to the dog, necessarily, but rather, they are reacting to the allergens which are produced by the dog. This allergic situation is because the allergens are not only in the dog’s fur; they are in his dander, saliva, urine, and mucous.

Even hairless dogs make allergens. Most people consider their allergy response as the notion that they are allergic to dog hair. However, even hairless dogs produce allergens. Quite often, when referring to a particular breed of dog, if it is not known for shedding its fur, it is wrongly assumed that the dog is hypoallergenic. That being said, no dog is hypoallergenic. However, labs are a good pick for those who are looking for a bigger dog with fewer allergens.

There are a lot of people who would like to have dogs but cannot because they are allergic to dogs. The Chocolate Labrador is known to be a cute dog, but this also has longer hair than other dogs, which means that it is more likely to cause an allergic reaction as compared to short-haired dogs.

You would need to research dogs that come with hypoallergenic fur or hair, especially if you do not want your allergies to get triggered. According to research, though, Chocolate labradors will contain lower allergen levels as compared to other long-haired dogs. This is something that you truly need to consider, especially if you like the breed.

Chocolate Labradors are dogs that usually have long hair. Hypoallergenic means that this is not likely to cause an allergic reaction. Some dogs are considered to be hypoallergenic because of their hair or fur. Some people are allergic to dogs because of their fur. Instead of never being able to own a dog, these people would need to find a dog that is hypoallergenic.

Most dogs that have longer hair would cause problems for those people who have allergies. Some dogs are known to be easy on allergies. They include Basenji, Fox Terrier, Irish Water Spaniel, Poodles, Portuguese Water Dog, Yorkshire Terrier and Shih Tzu, to name a few. Since the Labrador has longer hair, it would most likely cause allergy problems.
