Constipation is when your bowel movements are not at a regular pace. As a matter of fact, they come out too slowly than regularly. The statistical definition is that constipation is when a person has fewer than three bowel movements during every seven days. The constipated person may feel pain or pressure in their stomach and intestines. Fiber helps with bowel movements. Many constipated people may eat fiber. People consume lots of chocolate and people who are constipated will attribute their constipation to chocolate.
However, it’s difficult to say whether there is a direct link between constipation and chocolate, but the caffeine sugar, milk and other ingredients in chocolate may cause dehydration which may lead to constipation. Other people blame the cocoa that is in chocolate.
