Contextual principle states that scripture interprets scripture or all passages are fully and clearly explained somewhere else in the bible which shows there are no disagreements on interpretation. accommodation principle on the other hand states the bible to be interpreted in view of the fact that it is an accommodation of divine truths to the human mind. in 1 corinthians 9 paul personalizes his teachings on the exercise of christian liberty. he speaks with full confidence of his freedom to take a wife, even though he does not take one. he is free to receive a salary, but he does not do that, either. he willingly gives up those things that are rightfully his as christs free man for the sake of preaching the gospel.
