What did Noah build that was huge and saved animal's and Noah's family from disaster at God's instruction?

Ark (big boat)-at god's instruction noah began to build an ark exactly to god's specifications. people began to make fun of him, since before this rain had never fallen from the sky but actuall came up through the ground to water the crops and give people water. noah believed god and continued to build the large boat with his sons and their family's help. it was a good thing he did too since god sent the rain and all the earth perished except noah and his family and the animals he had gathered int he boat. read more about noah in the book of genesis chapter 6.
