Albert Lasker is the right answer to this question. Initially, this advertising agency was founded by Ambrose Thomas and Daniel Lord in 1873. The original name of this agency was Lord Thomas and known to be the 3rd oldest ad agency in the United States that is still operating up to this date. Albert Lasker worked as a clerk for the firm in 1898 and climbed his way in the corporate ladder.
He bought the company then in 1912 and transferred its office in Chicago. During those times, Chicago and New York were the top cities when it comes to the advertising industry. It was the right decision, and people started calling Lasker as the Father of Modern Advertising. He sold Lord & Thomas to 3 of its top managers and started FCB in 1963 and is still operating now.
