Lice is a common and easily contractible insect that is common amongst children, but is also found on adults. Lice are a pest that live in the hair on the head of humans that lay eggs. With live being such a common finding amongst children, many remedies have been created and tested including, chemical shampoos, pesticides, mayonnaise, and even rubbing alcohol.
Rubbing alcohol is a natural desiccant while also breaking down the cells of the insect and drying them up from the inside out. Although rubbing alcohol has been proven to kill head lice, it is not recommended to place directly onto the hair or scalp, but rather to be used to spray pillow cases, combs and brushes in.
