Walter Raleigh is the author of Fallen Phrase Three. Raleigh lived from 1554 to 1618 and was a writer, poet, soldier, politician, courtier, spy, and explorer. He was not the only person famous in his family as he was cousin to Sir Richard Grenville and the younger half brother of Sir Humphrey Gilbert.
An interesting fact about Raleigh in addition to the many different things that he pursued is that he is known for popularizing tobacco in England. Raleigh was knighted in 1585 by Queen Elizabeth I after rapidly winning her favor while acting as a landlord to property confiscated from native Irish people.
