There are different ways that Hindus and Sikhs show respect to their idols. Some are placed in gold boxes, others are showered with food whereas still others are gifted flowers and riches. The Guru Granth Sahib is a religious idol of the Sikh community and is considered as the final and eternal living guru who follows the traditions and history of the ten living gurus before him. Sikhs respect it by giving it its own bedroom.

It was composed by seven Sikh gurus by the name of Guru Nanak dev, Guru Amar Das, Guru Arjan, Guru Angad Dev, Guru Ram Das and Guru Hargobind.
