To link the relationship that nature has with the eventual degradation of humankind. The poem that this question is referencing is called The World is Too Much with Us. The poem was written by William Wordsworth in 1802 and published in 1807.

Wordsworth uses the poem to speak on the Industrial Revolution and how it was being infiltrated by materialism. He blames the revolution for the reason that man was pushed away from aspects of nature. Wordsworth wrote the poem to influence people to get rid of materialism and grow closer to nature.

The central purpose of this poem is to establish a relationship that nature has with the fate of the humans. The World is Too Much with Us is a sonnet that is written by the English romantic poet Willian Wordsworth.
